It's my Birthday Month!!
I used to get really excited about my birthday, and I guess I still do. But getting older kinda puts a damper on it a little bit. LOL
The one thing I have done for many years and STILL do is take the day off. If my birthday falls on a work day, I'm not working! I wasn't working when I was born and I don't think I should work on my birthday either. So I don't. And that feels SO good! It's my present to me. A little self care so to speak.
I wish I could say I go all out and indulge in whatever foods I want to eat and a big ol' cake but alas...food allergies. So if anyone wants to bring me a gluten free, no coconut oil or mango, low carb, sugar free cake, I'm up for it!
It's also my anniversary on the same day. I DID do that on purpose. He can't ever forget now can he? This is year 12 married, 14 together. We don't have huge plans this year but he did get me a spa day...YAY!! It's actually ON my birthday too. I'm so excited!! Then we'll probably hit the casino to donate some money (if you know you know) and hopefully we'll take a sunset cruise out on Lake Michigan. Not a bad Annibirthary! (as my son has dubbed it)
What do you do on your birthday? Do you have a tradition that you must do every year like me and not working on my special day?
