I do new things now and then. I do! But it's safe to say that when I get comfortable with something a certain way, I usually don't mess with it.
So for 9 years I have used Square POS for my in store register and credit card processing and even for payroll for a few years. And it's been fine. Until it wasn't.
I've had this Shopify store now for over a year and after the hellish issues with my other websites, I'm LOVING it. After getting beyond frustrated with Square recently I decided to check into using Shopify as my POS and credit card processing. I'm getting it set up now (please be patient, I'm going as fast as I can!) and I've got it working ok for now. I'm going to slowly integrate my entire store and inventory. Hoping it will make year end stuff go easier and faster.
But I still get that icky feeling in the pit of my stomach after I switched to the new system. Like I'm going to do something wrong and totally mess up EVERYTHING. I haven't mess it up and it's working! And it was pretty easy to set up. So fingers crossed that I haven't left anything out and that I didn't mess anything up.
Now...some things will be different from a customer's perspective. But it's nothing major and so far my customers are fine with the changes. And hopefully my stomach will calm down when the newness wears off!
