What’s happening?
I don’t know about you, but MY 2021 is not the happy place I thought it would be!
This year started out ok and I did have high hopes for 2021 being a better year than 2020. But for me personally, it began in the worse way. Cancer got me! UGH…but we fixed that. Then a mini stroke came after me! UGHHHH…we got that taken care of too. Add in some rheumatoid and osteoarthritis and we’re good to go! I think my warranty expired and now everything is breaking…LOL But fear not, I’m good and moving on!!
But what about my store and business? Well on the positive side, I hired a manager who literally manages my LIFE. She’s the best thing I’ve ever done for my business. And you’ll soon see why!
The Store
What’s going on in my store? Lots and lots of things. First off we are very busy getting ready for the holiday season. We have to start early as soap needs to dry and we need to stock up on things.
There lies the problem…stocking up.
I purchase my raw materials in large quantities. Not only to have enough available but to get the best pricing to keep our prices low for our customers. But since 2020 there are multiple shortages on nearly everything! Not just packaging any more but on my raw materials.
We are scrambling to find our basic raw materials. Our normal vendors are out. ALL vendors are out! Those that still have supplies have quadrupled the price. Yes, QUADRUPLED the price!! UGH…what do, what to do!
What now?
Believe me when I say that I am spending HOURS searching for materials and packaging. And sometimes I’m not finding any at all…at ANY price! And I’m very worried. I have provided high quality products for years and refuse to compromise on that quality. I will do without before I buy cheap materials for my products.
So please bear with us while we try to source our materials and continue to make our products. You may find some things are out of stock, and will be for awhile. And many of our bottles and jars may look different than what we normally have. We are dealing with backorders and NO orders and I’m sorry we don’t have any, from nearly ALL our vendors.
Our most popular items may be in short supply. But just know that we are working on finding someone, somewhere that has raw materials for us. And please be aware that we’re trying VERY hard to keep our prices low when possible. But some pricing changes may be inevitable.
